JHAKASH

Jhakash is a post emergence herbicide of Aryloxy phenoxy­ propionates group and is used for the control of important weeds in Wheat.

Technical Name: Clodinafop­ Propargyl 15% WP

Mode of Action: Clodinafop is rapidly translocated within the plants and accumulate in the growing parts/meristematic tissues. Once  translocated, it inhibits the acetyl CoA carboxylase enzyme which stops growth in target species generally within 2 Days.

Features and Benefits:

  • Jhakash is a selective post-emergence broad-spectrum herbicide with excellent action on Phalaris minor.
  • It is suggested to use Jhakash when the majority of the grass weeds have emerged and are actively growing.
  • It is taken up through leaves of grassy weeds.
  • It results in decaying of nodes and growing points in young leaves.
  • It shows chlorosis followed by necrosis.
