DIACHI 44

Diachi 44 is a combination product of an organo-phosphorous and synthetic pyrethroid compounds. It is a broad-spectrum insecticide having contact and stomach action. It is used to control bollworm on cotton.

Technical name:  Profenofos 40% + Cypermethrin 4% EC

Mode of action: Diachi 44 is a combination product of separate optical isomers which due to the chiral phosphorus atom, show different types of insecticidal activity and ability to inhibit acetylcholinesterase. Cypermethrin acts on nervous system of the insect and disturbs the function of neurons by interaction with the sodium channel. Profenofos and Cypermethrin both are non-systemic insecticide and acaricide with contact and stomach action.
