Festa SC contains Fipronil as active ingredient in 5% SC formulation which belongs to the Phenylpyrazoles group and shows contact and systemic action. Festa SC is an insecticide which is used to control insects like stem borer, brown plant hopper, green leaf hopper, rice leaf folder, rice gall midge, white backed plant hopper, whorl maggot in rice. DBM in cabbage, Thrips, aphids & fruit borer in chili, early shoot borer & root borer in sugarcane and Aphids, Jassids, Thrips, White fly and Boll worm in Cotton.

Technical Name: Fipronil 5% SC

Mode of Action: Festa SC with Fipronil blocks GABAA-gated chloride channels in the central nervous system. Disruption of the GABAA receptors by fipronil prevents the uptake of chloride ions resulting in excess neuronal stimulation and death of the target insect.
